World COPD Day

World COPD Day is coming up this month! November 15th is designated by the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) as a day to raise awareness, share knowledge and work towards reducing the burden of COPD worldwide.

The theme for 2023 is: Breathing is Life - Act Earlier. This emphasizes the goal of early diagnosis and early treatment. It also emphasizes the importance of lung health throughout our lives, including prevention of lung disease.

As this day approaches, we are preparing to do our part. Join us on Wednesday, November 9th, as we join the annual webinar by the BC Lung Foundation. From 10am - noon, we join other health experts to talk about COPD diagnosis, management, and treatment. Jenna and Tina will be speaking about the importance of exercise as effective COPD treatment. Join us for our “COPD and Exercise: Moving to Keep You Grooving!” webinar this Wednesday morning. To register, visit the BC Lung Foundation Website. We hope to see you there!

If you missed the live stream of the webinar, you can view the recording on the BC Lung YouTube channel. Enjoy!
