Harmonicas for Health

…..and Happiness

Are you a resident of BC diagnosed with a chronic lung condition?

Would you like to learn how to play the harmonica?

No music experience is required, only a desire to try!

If you are interested in joining, email us at poplar@poplarpulmonary.com or call 236-361-3480.

Developed by the COPD Foundation, Harmonicas for Health is a 5-week program designed for those living with chronic lung conditions.

Playing the harmonica is exercise! It strengthens the diaphragm, promotes breath control, and mimics the pursed-lip breathing technique that is used to reduce shortness of breath.

Watch the COPD Foundation video to hear about the joys and benefits that the Harmonicas for Health program brings.
