With Pulmonary Illness, Comes Loss. A conversation with Karen, Death Doula.

From the moment of diagnosis, pulmonary illness is impacting our daily lives and results in many emotions for both patient and caregiver.  This can include a sense of loss and grief.  Through conversation, we will name some of these losses, acknowledge our grief, and uncover strategies to support our emotional well-being as we learn to live with our illness and its many complexities.

Karen is a Coach in life, death, and all the messy in-between. As an educator, speaker, Death Doula, and end-of-life consultant, she has supported individuals and their "families" through chronic and terminal illness and understands the many challenges it can present.  As the primary caregiver and spouse to someone with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, Karen also knows firsthand, the realities of caregiving and the many complexities and emotions we face both as the caregiver and the patient.

With her work, Karen creates opportunities for you to discover the magic that lies at the intersection of life and death.  Magic that can inspire you to enjoy the deepest richness right here, right now, in this space and time.

Snuggle up in your favourite chair with a cozy blanket. Bring a healthy snack and a cup of tea as we settle in for a guided, small group conversation. Let's chat and chew on this food for the soul.
