Join us as we team up with the BC Lung Foundation for the BC Better Breathers’ Club!
At the monthly Better Breathers Club of BC meetings, you’ll speak with Certified Respiratory Educators, Respiratory Therapists, and other healthcare professionals who are dedicated to helping those living with chronic lung conditions and supporting their family and care givers.
Join us on the second Wednesday of each month to connect with others living with chronic lung conditions in BC. This September, we will be talking about the connection between mental health and breathing. Those with chronic lung conditions often experience anxiety which can impact our breathing. Special guest Dr. Sarah Bellefontaine, Clinical, Health and Counselling Psychologist, will be your guide as we explore this mind-body connection.
Dr. Sarah Bellefontaine is a clinical, health, and counseling psychologist in Ontario. She provides evidence-based therapy for adults (18+) dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, interpersonal issues, grief, and life transitions.
She has a special interest in supporting individuals with chronic health conditions and those navigating pregnancy and postpartum challenges. Dr. Bellefontaine has experience across various clinical and hospital settings, including private practices, Family Health Teams, and several major hospitals.
