Feeling Breathless?

Relaxation breathing practices, pursed lip breathing and belly or diaphragmatic breathing to name a few, can help to reduce the sensation of breathlessness.

Why not spice up this daily practice by changing your environment. Research tells us that listening to music, and incorporating dance movements are ways to further promote relaxation in our bodies and improve our quality of life (Music and Dance in Chronic Lung Disease). Spending time outside in nature, including looking at images of nature, can activate positive areas of the brain (David Suzuki Foundation), promote calming, lower anxiety, and strengthen the immune system (Hello BC - Forest Bathing ).

Which relaxation breathing combination will you try?
